Standard Operating Procedures
Standards Committee Mission Statement
The Standards Committee considered the entire scope of data as it relates to parishes and the implementation of ParishSoft. It provided recommendations to unify data and ease the transition from current processes to ParishSoft.
What is the Standards Committee?
The Standards Committee is responsible for setting guidelines and rules for the input of data into ParishSoft. It is responsible for setting standards which are required and best practices which are recommended. It will also be responsible for organizing periodic review of data to ensure it is meeting standards and as many best practices as possible.
The committee developed guidelines that were put into a Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) guide that will be provided to all parishes as part of the Parishsoft implementation. The SOP document will periodically be reviewed and updated as the need arises.
Who is the Standards Committee?
The initial ParishSoft Standards Committee consisted of 11 people, seven representing parishes and four from the Archdiocese of Detroit. Selection was based on database experience, parish knowledge, and recommendations from pastors and directors.
